Here's exactly what happens
No surprises. No stress. Just an Hour that feels like play.
Either call or email me. I learn about your baby's personality, nap schedule, and any worries you have. We pick a date that works around their best time of day.
Usually happens: 2-4 weeks before session
You don't need to bring anything unless you want to. I have outfits, props, backdrops, and cake. Want to use your own? Perfect. Want me to handle it all? Also perfect.
You literally just show up
Within 2 days, you'll get a private online gallery. You select your favorite images. I'll then do a final edit of your selections.
Final images delivered: 7-14 days after session
Plan to have about 60 mins Your baby will have time to feel comforatble with the space and with me. Explore. Make a mess. I'm watching for the moments, the funny expressions, the surprised laugh when frosting hits their hands. You're relaxed. They're happy. That's the goal.

When should I schedule the session?
The best time to schedule is around your child’s first birthday. We recommend doing the cake smash 2 -4 weeks before their birthday if you'd like to use the images for the party. This session is popular for both first and second birthdays! If you want a specific theme, contact me 4-6 weeks in advance.
Should I bring my own cake?
If your child has allergies, or if you'd like a more elaborate cake, feel free to bring your own. Otherwise, we’ll provide a cute, delicious 5" vanilla velvet cake.
What should I bring?
If your child has a favorite toy or comfort item, please bring it. It can help them feel more comfortable and get those adorable candid shots.
What should my little one wear?
Plan for 2 outfits max. One for the family portion and one for the cake smash. For the cake smash, many parents love bare bellies with tutus, suspenders, or jeans. Feel free to personalize your child’s look! Just remember, the frosting will cover everything, so choose outfits you’re okay with getting a little messy.
Do we take family photos?
Yes! We start every cake smash session with a few family portraits to capture everyone’s love and excitement as they celebrate this milestone. Expect the first 5 minutes to be family and/or sibling portraits, with the main focus of the session being just of your baby.
What time of day works best?
Usually mid-morning (9-11am) right after their first nap, when they're fed and happy but not yet overtired. We'll plan around your baby's schedule, not mine.
How long until I get the photos?
You'll have your full gallery within 10-14 days. I know you're excited—I work as fast as I can without rushing the editing. You'll get a notification when your gallery is ready, and you can download everything immediately.
What's your refund/rescheduling policy?
Life happens—especially with babies. You can reschedule once without penalty as long as you give me 48 hours notice. If baby is sick on session day, we'll find another date. I'm flexible because I know parenting isn't predictable.
